GhostBridge Is Now Available
Assembled GhostBridge WiFi-to-RS232 units are available for the verified GhostTune configuration.
What GhostBridge is
GhostBridge is a transparent local bridge between a TCP connection over WiFi and an RS232 serial interface. Its verified purpose is to provide the wireless hardware connection used by GhostTune with supported MicroSquirt installations.
The bridge creates a local access point. GhostTune connects to 192.168.4.1 on TCP port 35000. Bytes received from the app are relayed to the serial interface, and serial responses are relayed back to the app.
How it is built
The hardware combines an ESP32-class WiFi microcontroller with an RS232 level-shifting stage. USB-C provides power, and the DB9 connector provides the serial interface. The enclosure is the Rev 12 OpenSCAD design documented in the companion build article.
The production enclosure’s outer dimensions are 97.95 × 77.01 × 22.55 mm. It uses a 3 mm main wall, a locally recessed USB-C wall, four M3 screw-support rails, a locating lip, internal ribs, and connector-specific lid closures.
Compatibility is more than a connector
A DB9 connector does not prove that two products share the same electrical role, pinout, serial configuration, or application protocol. GhostBridge is represented as verified for the published GhostTune configuration. Contact support before ordering for a different RS232 device or application.
Ordering
GhostBridge is sold through secure Stripe checkout. Orders normally ship through USPS within 2–4 weeks. All sales are final, subject to the defect and transit-damage process in the Terms of Sale.
